This app is great for recording meetings or lectures but it desperately needs the ability to run in the background, especially on mobile. If you need to respond to a text or email or look at anything on your phone other than the timer for the recording, the recording pauses.

Also, it doesn't warn you before you switch apps that it will pause, it lets you know that it paused after the fact so you end up missing part of what you were wanting to record. All in all though, I really like this application, it just needs to run in the background and it will be perfect. Lumia 640 LTE. Voice recorder can not record while screen turned off. If you record 2hr clip, screen stays on for 2hrs or it won't record. Can not run in background.

You have to keep the app opened as long as you record. Otherwise it stops recording. Doesn't save recorded clips. It always saying 'couldn't save' but it 'recovered last clip'. You go to recorded files and its not playable on phone or PC. I used a Nokia N70 music edition in 2007 and it had a way better voice recorder than this on symbian OS.

If this is how Microsoft make official apps for their phones, I am totally done with windows phones. This would be my last windows phone. Using with Win10 on Lumia phone: Easy and clean to use.

You know, the whole 'with windows 10, your files are anywhere you want them'. The 'share' option is a pain the butt, not working for sharing into a OneDrive folder. Share/email large audio files is obviously a problem. There's not even an option to 'move' the files into a OneDrive folder. Dudes, OneDrive is like 33% the point of windows 10.
