Microphone Software For Windows 10 Free Download

Upgrade To Windows 10 Free Download

Hello I upgraded my laptop to Windows 10 (Creators Update) recently. However post the update, i'm having issues with the microphone. On the first boot after the update, the mic was not working at all. I opened the 'Sound' settings window in the control panel under the 'Hardware and Sound' section. It showed that the microphone was working properly, however I could not see any response(green bars) on making sounds very close to the microphone. I even gently tapped on the microphone a few times, but still couldn't see any green bars.

The microphone isn't muted and the microphone boost is at the highest level. The drivers that are currently installed are shown in the screen shot below: I uninstalled the above shown drivers and installed the stock drivers that came with the laptop (Drivers CD) and, everything was working perfectly. However, after a few days the driver was automatically updated to the one in the screenshot via windows update and again, i faced the same problem.

Everytime i uninstall and reinstall the stock drivers, everything works fine, however, the drivers are again force-updated to the one shown above by windows update and the mic stops working. Is there a solution or a workaround to this. Thanks & Regards Yash Bhan [Original title: Microphone not working after windows 10 upgrade]. My microphone stopped working after Creators Update. In Device Manager, I found that I had a Speakers driver but no Microphone driver. I did a google search for windows 10 driver intel sst audio device wdm and a link to Microsoft Catalogue came up as: It looked like 604.11324 was the 64 bit version, so I downloaded that.cab file. I extracted six files from the.cab into a folder, and right clicked the.inf file, and clicked install. It came back and said a reboot was required.

After the reboot, Device Manager showed both a Microphone Driver and a Speaker Driver, and they both had the same version (10.0.15063.502) as I had seen previously (but just in the speaker driver). I tested the microphone with Cortana, and it worked great.
